  • Eat meals and snacks on a regular schedule.
  • Take medications as prescribed.
  • If blood sugar is high and in this condition taking too much insulin or an extra pill is dangerous and could lead to hypoglycemia.
  • Check sugar regularly before and after vigorous exercise. It can help in catching a low sugar level before it becomes an emergency.

Follow these steps for the treatment for low blood sugar in non diabetics.

  • Carbohydrates glucose gel or tabs to be chew for better absorption.
  • Avoid having anything with chocolate nuts or higher-fat dairy because fat and proteins slow the digestion of the carbohydrates into sugar so blood sugar won't rise fast enough. So, remember it can take 15 minutes for the carbohydrates to raise sugar and try to stay calm and not overeat.
